City of Evanston Financial Wellness Program
First Northern Credit Union has been selected by the City of Evanston to lead a series of free financial wellness education workshops and seminars for Evanston residents. The first series of workshops is geared toward beginners, or those who may need a financial restart. Future workshops will be geared toward seniors, families, and youth.

July 15 - Eight Steps to Financial Success
July 22 - Start Being Money-Smart
July 29 - Credit Matters
August 5 - Paying for College
Due to health and safety concerns regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, all July workshops will take place via webinar from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Webinar links will be sent to registered participants before the start of workshop.
Those who complete all four workshops will receive a certificate recognizing their achievement. FNCU staff will work with attendees to identify those who may need further one-on-one counseling.
Additional Financial Resources
First Northern Credit Union teaches the industry-leading BALANCE (fncu.balancepro.org) curriculum, which provides Evanston residents with free access to expertly-crafted financial education and resources as well as confidential, no-cost financial counseling services.
